A vey classy field has nominated for the third round of the Hydraulink Southern Thunder Sprintcar Series at the Smokefree Collie Speedway on Saturday.
In fact it looks like being the best ever lineup ever seen at the south-west venue in its 38 year history.
The Collie meet is sandwiched between the World Series Sprintcar grand final and the King of the Wings and Krikke Boys events, meaning that several of the leading eastern states team have left their transporters in the west for the rest of the annual "month of money". ... read more

The Wingless Sprints returned to Perth Motorplex last night for the first time since their State Title over a month ago, in support of the World Series Sprintcars Grand Final. 18 cars were on hand as once again the class showed it is a club on the move, the turnout having been rallied in little over a week. The nominations included many of the leaders in the division this season, with 7 of the current Perth Motorplex Top 10 in points on hand. This meeting was not part of the season long chase for points, but with 18 cars on hand the racing was bound to be no less fierce than usual. He won last year’s title on his home track from well back on the Championship grid, stunning ctitics with his superb drive.
