Nominations for the opening "Hot August Nights" event at Supercheap Auto Archerfield Speedway scheduled for Saturday night August 4 are now open and being received by the Speedway office.

The Winter Series Sprintcar event, which includes Modlites and OzChamps Sedan class racing on the programme, represents a great opportunity for drivers and teams not only from the Brisbane area but from North Qld and interstate as well to run some competitive laps at the 2013 Australian Sprintcar Title venue.

Early nominations for the Sprintcar portion of the event include former Australian Sprintcar Champion Todd Wanless, KRE Race Engines Track Championship regulars Kevin Titman, Brent Kratzmann and Brett Thomas. Midgets and Wingless Sprints may also be added to the programme closer to the date, subject to the number of nominations received.

Tickets for the September 29 2012/13 season opening night event featuring Monster Trucks, Sprintcars, Midgets, Fireworks and a whole lot more are now available for purchase online through the Speedway website while Australian Sprintcar Championship tickets will be available for pre-purchase from approximately mid-August following confirmation as to whether the Championship will be either a two or three day event.
