Titan Add A Little Bling

David “Blingy” Muir will drive the Titan Garages #36 Maxim in 2012/2013, kicking off in Mackay in two weekends time for the $10,000 to win Spectacular.

Team owner Reeve Kruck confirmed that he’ll take on the exciting young Queenslander for a schedule that’s not 100% confirmed but certainly involves plenty of activity in their home state.

“Blingy’s a good young racer,” says Kruck, “he’s always standing on the gas and I think he can take his racing to another level working with our equipment and our team.”

Titan Racing crew chief Bingo Jenkins is excited to be working with the livewire youngster.

“Everyone knows that Davo’s a good young racer, that’s not in question. I’m looking forward to working with him in Mackay and then the races beyond that,” concedes Jenkins.

22 year old Muir, known as “Blingy” from his time initially working at Titan Racing’s headquarters several seasons ago, now steps up to his biggest racing break yet.

Rarely running in anyone else’s tyre tracks and with a burning desire to run the highline David’s ability to mix it with the best and win races in any company is well documented in Queensland.

“We’re not 100% committed to where we’ll be racing at this point,” admits Kruck, “and beyond Christmas we haven’t really discussed but we’ll get the ball rolling in Mackay and have some fun.”

For Muir, who has raced the #18 Capalaba Wreckers Muir Family house car in recent seasons, the chance to drive the Titan entry will be a tremendous opportunity.

“I’m grateful to Reeve and Bingo for the chance to drive the #36. They’ve got great equipment and they’re a first class team. This is a great opportunity for me. I can’t wait to get to Mackay and get started.”

More information on the season ahead for Muir and the Titan Racing Team will follow soon.
