Tony Moule in the ACT26 Argus Racing, MCF Trailers QT Chassis won the 360 Northern Territory Title on Saturday night. Incorporated in the Chariots of Thunder Series in Darwin the Title was run over 35 laps on the final night of the 2 weekend event.
Moule is a regular All Star Series driver and decided to make the trip up the Stuart Hwy to Darwin giving him time during the offseason down south to check out his engine and gain some valuable seat time before the season starts.
“The car was fast and I gave it everything I had. I knew McInnis was behind me and couldn’t make the slightest mistake or he would have tried to take me. I reckon I have lost about 5 kilo in the feature with the heat up here but the win is worth it. The track was awesome allowing passing and no tyre wear at all. I think this is my 10th Title win and we have had a ball up here.” says Moule.
The organisation of the Chariots of Thunder event have put up fantastic money for the 2 weekends with $5,000 to win feature races both weekends and tow money to get there. Hopefully the event will be a regular on their calendar for 360’s and should get bigger each year.
Moule was followed home buy NT4 Jamie McInnis in 2nd place and WA19 Trent Pigdon in 3rd.
