SYDNEY AWESOME FOURSOME ON USA RACING SAFARI
Official release: Valvoline Raceway
April 27, 2017

Sydney Sprintcar and Wingless racers Nathan Dicker, Jason Davis and Troy Carey and former racer Craig Skene are today in the USA on the first leg of their 2017 USA racing safari.

The foursome will both compete and spectate in a variety of events across the US starting this Saturday night at East Bay Raceway in Florida where at least one of them will race a winged Sprint and another a Mini Sprint ride.

Original plans for a pavement Sprintcar ride may not materialize due to health concerns for the car owner.

The boys then head to Dirt Devils Speedway on May 6 for Flat Karts drives and then the next morning is pavement karts.

A very special event is then held that afternoon as the Dave Steele Fundraiser is held for Lynn Steele and the kids.

“This event is very special to us,” says Nathan Dicker, “we want to contribute to this in any way we can and we urge people to do the same. Dave was a friend of Craig’s (Skene) and we had originally planned to stay with the Steele family and race with Dave before he was tragically killed this year. We’re hoping a lot of money can be raised for Dave’s family.”

On May 12/13 they’ll be spectating at the Eldora Raceway double header featuring USAC and World of Outlaws and then May 20 sees a return to racing Flat Karts at Dirt Devils Speedway before Pavement karts again on May 21.

May 23/24 is a $30,000 to win show for Winged Outlaw Karts in North Carolina then the boys head West to Perris Auto Speedway in California for a big USC/CRA “Salute to Indy” event.

The four are certainly living a racing dream that is also tinged with sadness.
