KRIKKE MOTORSPORT SWEEP AWARDS NIGHT

THE 2023-24 season was certainly a successful one for the Krikke Motorsport team and their driver Dayne Kingshott, and recently at the Burswood on the Swan in Perth they picked up their fair share of silver wear during the Sprintcar Entrants Group awards night. In what has been one of Western Australia’s most competitive seasons in the 410 Sprintcar ranks, Kingshott, aboard the WA # 2 Mobil 1 / Bunbury Toyota supported Maxim, was the standout driver.

Running his fourth season with the Krikke Motorsport team, Kingshott was a model of consistency throughout his 2023-24 season campaign, which included a total of four feature-race wins, and it resulted in him picking up the Maddington Toyota Series and Perth Motorplex Track Championship double. Apart from being officially awarded the Maddington Toyota Series winning trophy, along with the Perth Motorplex Track Championship, the Krikke Motorsport and Kingshott duo
scored the following 2023-24 season awards:

• Driver’s Driver Award
• Achievement Award
• Bonza Bradford Memorial
• Feature Race Champion
• Most Feature Race Wins (x 4)
Looking back over their 2023-24 season, Krikke Motorsport team manager Ryan Krikke
expressed a lot of pride in what his team have managed to achieve.
“I’m very pleased with the efforts of the whole Krikke Motorsport team, as it’s been a very
competitive season, especially during the Christmas-New Year period, and we came out on
top in the Maddington Toyota Series points at season’s end for the first time in our team’s
history,” he expressed.
“Dayne (Kingshott) started the season strongly and once he hit the lead of the Maddington
Toyota Series early on, he was never headed. He showed great composure and has come a
long way in a short time in a Sprintcar, and I’m proud of what he’s doing in and out of the
car.
“On top of the four wins we picked up along the way, one of the keys to our successful
season was our consistency all season and being able to make the most of our challenging
nights, as it wasn’t all plain sailing – it never is in this game. The cars were prepped
meticulously by our crew chief Matt Cochrane and all the guys never missed a beat all
season. It was a great team effort, it’s a great environment.”
