KRIKKE MOTORSPORT PRIMED FOR 45TH SEASON
Author : Redline Media

WITH their 45th season not too far away, the Krikke Motorsport team are pleased to announce their 2024-25 season plans with their team driver Dayne Kingshott. Following what was an outstanding 2023-24 season campaign, which was highlighted by winning both the Maddington Toyota Series and the Perth Motorplex Track Championship, the Krikke Motorsport team have set their focus heavily on what is set to be the biggest ever 410 Sprintcar season in their home state of Western Australia.

“The entire Krikke Motorsport team is extremely excited about the season ahead, as I think all teams here are in Western Australia,” enthused Krikke Motorsport team manager, Ryan Krikke.

“Our full focus for this season is on trying to successfully defend our Maddington Toyota Series crown in our 45th season as a team, and along with the addition of the High Limit races and a heavier Speedweek schedule than ever over the Christmas-New Year period, it’s promising to be a massive season for us here at home.” For the upcoming season, the Krikke Motorsport team is pleased to welcome back onboard all their existing sponsors from last se form of Matt from Heater Designs, Josh and the team at JFE Group, and Brendan and the Wilson Brewing Company.

“We are looking forward to sharing the success and the journey ahead, and we thank our sponsors – both existing and new – for all their wonderful support,” added Krikke. When it comes to how the whole Krikke Motorsport team is preparing for this season, Krikke is very pleased with how everything is coming together.

“The team’s crew chief Matt Cochrane has been super busy in the workshop over the off season and our driver Dayne is fitter and lighter than he has ever been, I’m confident we have got all the pieces in place for a successful season ahead,” he said.

Apart from Maddington Toyota Series, the Krikke Motorsport team are planning to make two trips to the east coast of the country, with the NAPA Speedway event – Sprintcars in the City as part of the Adelaide 500 with the Supercars – in mid-November and then returning to the east coast again in late January to compete in the Grand Annual Classic at Warrnambool’s Premier Speedway in Victoria and the Australian Championship at Murray Bridge Speedway in South Australia.

“There are no two ways about it, our focus for this season is on our Maddington Toyota Series defence with Dayne, and if all goes well, we will make a couple of trips across the paddock to the east coast,” explained Krikke.

“Due to the density of our season schedule and the focus being on the Maddington Toyota Series, unfortunately we don’t see it to be a viable proposition to run two cars at any point during the upcoming season as we have done prior. With the schedule in mind, particularly
late December and early January, the trip to the Grand Annual Classic and Australian Championship are kind of a wish-list thing for now and could be a last-minute decision that won’t be made to the detriment of our Maddington Toyota Series campaign.

“With all our focus here in Western Australia, Dayne will be doing all the driving duties for the Krikke Motorsport team this season. The last thing I want to do is commit to something that isn’t in the best interests of the team, Dayne or Kerry Madsen, and obviously, I didn’t want to stand in the way of Kerry getting another ride, so that hard decision has had to be made already.

Hopefully Kerry and our team will do something together again in the not- too-distant future and we wish him all the very best for the summer ahead.”
