McKENIE, TN - The racing action is picking up steam in Australia and New Zealand as the season is off to a fast start. J&J Auto Racing drivers have been fast early on in the campaign with Chad Ely and Donny Schatz both scoring recent wins for J&J.
SONIC SPEEDWAY (VICTORIA)
Chad Ely couldn't hold back his emotion and celebrated emphatically after winning Round 3 of the Mainline DynoLog Dynamometers All Star Series event on November 23 at Sonic Speedway in Swan Hill, Victoria. Ely raced the No. SA22 J&J from the front row in the main event and led the race from green to checker.
WXC SPEEDWAY (NEW ZEALAND)
Five-time World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series champion Donny Schatz closed out his two-race appearance at WXC Speedway, Western Springs in Auckland, New Zealand by dominating the action Sunday night in his familiar No. 15 STP J&J. After racing from 14th to fourth in the opening race last weekend, Schatz won his heat race, finished a close second in the dash and then stormed to victory in the feature event. "The car just kept getting better as the race went on. It's great to get a win here in New Zealand. It was a fun race. My car could have gone anywhere. It probably could have been great on the bottom of the racetrack too but you've got to do what you feel most comfortable with and I felt great up there. It was actually a really fun racetrack for me."
